Quarterly Review | Q2 2024
With five Sundays in June, here's a catch-up of some of my most popular posts from the last three months.
Believe it or not, I’m just coming to the end of my first three months on Substack! I’ve really loved writing and posting here, but also building such a special and beautiful community of like-minded people. For me, writing is always a joy, but it’s cathartic too, offering an opportunity to reflect on the past, the present, and that which is still to come.
Having carefully planned out a schedule of posts, I realised that of course, some months have five weeks in them, so I thought this would be a good opportunity to re-share some of the most popular posts from the past quarter, some you may have missed, and some perhaps you’d like to read again. Do let me know in the comments which you’ve enjoyed most, and perhaps you have some ideas for things you’d like me to write about in the future? If you’d like to read about why I started Rediscover · Reconnect · Re-Emerge on Substack, then here is my very first post:
Rediscover · Reconnect · Re-Emerge is still entirely free to read; however, I made the decision last month to switch on the paid option too, so if you are able, and should you wish, you can subscribe from a little over £3 a month. This supports me to continue creating new content, affording me time and space to explore new ideas, and allows me to continue supporting others to do the same. Every paid subscription, however small, has a big impact. If you are already a free subscriber, and would like to support me by upgrading to paid, click below to manage your subscription:
In many respects, I had no real idea what I was going to post when I started Rediscover · Reconnect · Re-Emerge, but I’ve been surprised how quickly I’ve settled into a rhythm of posting, cycling weekly through four different themed pieces.
In Beyond the Notes, I share some of the pieces of music which have meant the most to me in my life, and the stories behind why they resonate so strongly within a life lived slowly and simply:
Community, and creating a sense of community, is so important to me, and to the world. In Inspirations & Connections, taking a particular theme, I want to share with you some of the inspirations, connections and other communities which have enriched my life, in the hope that they may do the same for you too:
In Reflections on a Simple Past, I look back at some of the people, places and things which have so richly influenced and inspired my love of all things simple:
In Slow & Simple Moments, I share some of the things I’ve been getting up to, places I’ve been, and other beautiful and special slow and simple moments from the past month:
Thank you so much for sharing this journey with me, and I look forward to bringing you more thoughts and reflections in the months and seasons to come.
