So beautifully written David and this gave me such nostalgia for my childhood holidays to Anglesey exploring sand dunes and rock pools and long walks to nowhere. Getting back to the static caravel early because the weather had turned and it was time for a hot chocolate 🥰 I hope I can make some more memories like this soon! Thank you for writing this. Your words always take me someplace else. 🤍
How wonderful David, I can so relate to the feeling of excitement at a longer travel to somewhere. I made up stories in my mind, what if I’d make an archeological find (my 8 year old self imagined of being a calmer version of Indiana Jones, also minus snakes and large spiders).
Also love the photo of Devil’s Bridge, I went there once while I lived in Aber. ✨
I totally understand the feeling of stepping into another country even if you are staying in your own one. Italy, were I am from, has 20 regions and each one of them is very different from one another culturally speaking, but also the landscape. I like in the north-west and even visiting Venice in the East, as a child, has been a life-changing experience. The food, the dialects, the landscape, everything was very different! Thank you for sharing your reflections.
Thank you 🙏 I think that makes perfect sense, and I think we often forget here, that of course, we’re a very small country, so those regional differences are more nuanced.
Aww, thank you 🙏 Somehow, the fun, the adventure, and the exploration, was found in the simplicity of the everyday.

Yes, still something exciting about journeying!
Excellent thoughts and very well written 💕

I look forward to your Sunday morning reflections. I am off to Wales this week and it was the perfect taster.
Thank you 🙏 I hope you have a wonderful time, and I wonder if those echoes can still be heard?
I am certain they will!
