This winter, perhaps more than any, we’ve travelled a hard road, and I don’t know about you, but I’m excited for spring, for light, and for the warmth to come. But where did March go?
This was a lovely spring post, it really does feel as though things are reawakening. I love the pastel/sorbet shades of spring, the palest daffs, magnolia, primroses…in some ways I love these tones even more than the vibrancy in summer. I made an orange cake today so with you on the citrus vibe! Thank you for sharing your wonderful spring moments 🌿✨
I love that you have cook books. I too am the same ( although not so many!) I dislike following a recipe from my phone and much prefer a book or I will write down the recipe myself. I too am so ready to do all the Spring, seasonal delights 🌻
300 cook books, wow. Another lovely post and a thoughtful approach to spring. Relaxing and reconnecting after our long winter season. I love violets and primroses.
I used to hate yellow when I was a child but now, I associate it so much with the arrival of spring that I have come to love it. I’m with you on lemon too - you can’t beat it. ☺️

Here, we are still waiting for a blossoming. And snowflakes are in tomorrow’s weather prediction. But the seeds have been planted, the energy is slowly building, there is movement. I try to notice each small detail of change.
A beautiful read David. For me it’s the bright pops of yellow that are everywhere right now. Daffodils symbolise Spring for me, and the gentle pinks of the magnolias are lovely too.
I’m with you on lemon, it’s one of my favourite flavours 😊
I’m so happy about the colours! First the white of snowdrops then the purples and yellows of crocuses. Now already so many more colours. Blossoms are probably my favourite just now, the whites and pinks of ornamental cherries and also blackthorn slowly emerging. Oh I do love spring! Thank you for sharing your moments with us.
300 books wow! 😅
Your baking does always look amazing.
I have had a good turn out recently 🙈😂
David, I confess I did not read this beautiful post (yet) but your imagery is stunning and so hopeful. ♡
Thank you.
Thank you so much 🙏🌿
That cookbook sounds right up my alley too! Happy, joyous spring moments David 🌼
Thank you for reading 🙏🌿

I actually don’t really like yellow as a colour, but the daffodils are glorious! 🌼

Yes, we were looking back at photos the other day, and we had snow in April four years ago 🌱

Such a good book! And the colours I’m enjoying seeing are lights pinks and blues…but you can’t beat a bright pop of yellow 🌼
