There's certainly something to be said for 'stopping and smelling the roses'. Since the loss of my parents, and the reminder that life is short (apologies for all the cliches!!), I now make a conscious effort to slow, notice, and savour these moments....

Stunning photos and while reading I could feel my nervous system relax, a much needed thing. Rather than rush into my day, I am now inspired to splurge on a second cup of coffee and linger at our front window which has a beautiful forest view.

This was so wonderfully written, David! And I loved the photos you included – it's lovely to be able to see the greenery in your local area 🪴 I'm really enjoying the lighter mornings and evenings, we get some glorious sunsets and it makes getting up in the morning all that much easier. I hope that May brings us even more magic! 💫

Thank you for sharing your moments and the beautiful photos. For me, this month has been highlighted by daily observations from my kitchen window of a couple of blackbirds in the building yard. Their wanderings coincide with my supplements time, so I sip my glass of water while observing them, it's such a small but precious moment.

I really love these precious moments, particularly when we can return to them day after day. It’s a beautiful way to see the shift in the seasons, and to see nature going about its beautiful work.

So true, and more and more, perhaps even more so as I get older, I see the importance of continuity.
