What to expect from Rediscover · Reconnect · Re-Emerge in 2025!

More than anything, I'm looking forward to continuing to build, nurture and foster this beautiful Rediscover · Reconnect · Re-Emerge community, and with that in mind, what can you expect in 2025...

What has touched me so much, has been people’s generosity on this platform. The support and encouragement of each other is a joy to find, and such a cornerstone of any welcoming and nurturing community. I hope that here in this community, you’ve found a home; a home amongst kindred spirits, walking together, seeking deeper fulfilment on life’s journey. It is incredibly humbling that over 800 of you now subscribe to Rediscover · Reconnect · Re-Emerge.

Believe it or not, next month marks my first Substack birthday! I know that’s something I’m going to be writing more about over the coming weeks, but in the meantime, I wanted to drop in and tell you a little it more about some of what I’m hoping to share in 2025.

Don’t worry, there are no big announcements!

No big changes. There is enough fast-paced change to contend with in the modern world as it is. But nevertheless, we can embrace gentle growth and development, and over the past year, I’ve enjoyed exploring the Substack platform and how it can both support and challenge building an online community with slow, simple and seasonal living at its heart.

But what about 2025 and beyond?

Well, more than anything else, I’m looking forward to continuing to build and foster community here. It’s not always about growth. But Word of the Year for 2025 was thrive, and I think that growth can be part of that. Sometimes, there are few better feelings than when you realise you’re not alone. If like me, you yearn for a slower, simpler and more seasonal approach to life, then I am thrilled to share this journey with you here. We can learn so much from each other, and grow together as a community.

I have always enjoyed writing, but the past year has reminded me how important, and indeed, how cathartic it is. Writing runs through my veins, and sharing my words here on Rediscover · Reconnect · Re-Emerge has not only been a great joy, but has reminded me that this is something I need to do. It is, if you like, a calling. Writing is something I have to do, for it nurtures and nourishes the deepest parts of my inner being. I hope that some of what I share touches you too.

Weekly posts

You can expect to continue to enjoy a weekly post every Sunday. These quickly evolved into four series:

• Slow & Simple Moments

• Beyond the Notes

• Reflections on a Simple Past

• Inspirations & Connections

Whilst there is a good deal of crossover, it’s nice to have these distinct foci in mind as I write. With some extras, there are already over 50 posts in the archive! That feels a huge milestone in itself.

So what else is new?

One thing to say is that I’m not intending to put Rediscover · Reconnect · Re-Emerge posts behind a paywall. I’ve experimented and listened to my intuition, and this feels comfortable for me. That said…

Become a patron

Instead, I’m hoping that many of you might choose to become patrons by joining as paid subscribers. This will help me enormously in fostering the community we value here so much, and help me to sustain my writing and work. Paid subscribers will also receive a very special, personal “thank you” in gratitude for their support, and you never know, there might be the occasional bonus post too! You can become a patron subscriber for £4 a month, or £35 a year. You can upgrade your subscription here.

Incidentally, if you’re currently a monthly subscriber, now might be a great to time to switch to paying annually where you’ll save £13 (27% cheaper).

New ideas

I’m hoping in the next year to explore some new ideas and posts. I have lots of ideas for content which perhaps doesn’t fit into the four series outlined above, and I’m looking forward to sharing some of those with you too. Nothing is fixed, and I very much value a continued sense of exploration, and of course, enjoyment.

Many of you, I know, have enjoyed the Slow Spotlights series which features over on the A Life More Creative Journal. There are more of these to come, and remember, if these resonate, why not get in touch? I am always looking for others who would like to share their own journey in these interviews.

Journal Entries

In the past year, Rediscover · Reconnect · Re-Emerge has evolved in a way I hadn’t thought possible. With that, the A Life More Creative Journal has felt rather left out. In 2025, I’m going to be exploring how it can complement the content I share here. It has a distinct place as part of my website, and deserves to be nurtured further.

It seems strange to end with a welcome, but I’ve recently updated my welcome post, so if you’re relatively new here, why not explore how Rediscover · Reconnect · Re-Emerge came about.
